You should also consider the possible deflection of this machine. Under the same load, the deflection of a 10-foot machine worktable and slide is 4 times that of a 5-foot machine. This means that shorter machines require fewer shim adjustments to produce qualified parts. Reduced shim adjustments also shorten the preparation time.
